Question insulating garage door

My house is 3 years old and the entire garage is not insulated. I have heard that if you insulate the garage door that it really helps? Does anyone have experience with this? Does it help and how do you do it?

Thanks.

Your probably going to here from someone who will tell you to cut styrofoam and tape it inside the door. That may work a little bit, but condensation forms behind it and water drips down. About ohte only way you can have a good insulated garage door is to buy one.

If the Garage isn't heated, Insulating the door wont do much good anyhow... Insualtion holds heat in place by restricting its flow... If the garage isnt heated there is no heat to hold in place..

Sealing off areas where air can blow through the doors and windows or any gaps will do more good than just insulating the door..

Good Luck

Thank you to both Jim and the Contractor for your replies. I am going to seal off all "drafty" areas that I can. Thanks for the insight on the foam.

Warm days ahead!
