Need new rollers

I need to replace the rollers on my garage door. There are two that concern me...the bottom ones attached to the lifting cables that go to the torsion springs! With the garage door open and elect opener unplugged, what is the best way to secure the lifting cables while replacing the roller?

You don't. Open the door all the way to the top. Put a pair of Vise Grips under the roller, on the track of the side you're NOT working on. If you try and "lock" the springs so the cables don't move they will jump of the drums. Ugly. The cables are not on the roller, but on a dog no the bottom bracket. Watch your fingers. With the claw of a hammer, pop the roller out of the track, pulling DOWN to maintain tension. Replace the roller and put it back in the track. Repeat on the other side.

Be careful and good luck.
