Yes, if the door is designed for a DIY installation. The tricky part about installing most garage doors is setting the spring, this can be dangerous and should only be done by a professional. Some companies sell their doors with a DIY spring assembly that can be easily and safely setup by a novice.

diy installation
Hi,
Years ago I put up two 8' wide insulated roll up or overhead doors. My Dad was my helping hand which is your first need, some help. My doors are Clopay. The first door took us awhile to install. Just followed the instruction sheets. The next door went up in less than 1/2 the time. Still working good, seals are still good, and they still stay where you leave them, ( 1/2 or 1/4 of the way down, they won't fall. Also I would do any finishing to the doors before I put them up.
take your time and good luck,
Trent
