Question dimensions

I'm trying to design a three car garage, where one bay will have a lift (to enable 2 small cars) and another will fit a full-size van. We need to make it as small as possible, but I can't seem to locate information on width or height for doors (the van doesn't fit in our current garage).

Any ideas/ advice would be appreciated.

What size garage door?

Different size openings and actions require different size frames. Typically, the garage door company will advise you what type of door, size, and framing required. The type of lifting gear selected is also an important factor when it comes to accommodating taller vehicles like vans. http://www.buildadvice.com/content/a...Garages&page=3

What you need to do is to measure your van. How tall is it from the ground to the top, then add at least 6". Put your mirrow out and measure the width and again add at least 6". Now you now the minimum size of door you need. Go to any lumber yard or Home Improvement store and order your door. Remember, you walls must be at least 1 foot higher then your garage door is tall.
Good Luck
