Fertalizer number question?

I recently bought some 10-10-10 because i new it was for genral use,and i couldnt for the life of me remember what the 2nd and 3rd number stood for.Such as the first one i remember as being nitrogen, which will make grass dark green .So what are the next two?The last one also makes things grow fast doesnt it.A defanetion of what it does would help.

Also what makes flowers bloom more. And How high of a number is best suited for for this.

Thanks in advance guys/and girls!

10-10-10 =
contains 10 percent nitrogen,10 percent phosphate and 10 percent potash.

On a few of my stubborn 'bloomers', I'll occasionally use a bit of Super Bloom - 12-55-6. Thus the phosphorous is for the flower. The potassium is then for better root growth.
