Question Question about shrubbery

I have planted Azalia and Rhoderdendron plants in front of my porch and both died rather quickly. I am curious if you could reccomend some hardy plants that I can plant. They will recieve alot of afternoon and evening sun and the ground is fill dirt. I would prefer a flowering plant but an Evergreen will work as well. Thank you for your time. Ken.

Azalea and Rhododendron plants are generally quite successful. They require good drainage, slightly acidic, fertile soil, and adequate water. Newly planted plants require frequent watering until they become established. At least weekly, for the first season.

Your location may affect your choice of plants. There are many shrubs available that bloom and are evergreen.

Tell us a bit about your hardiness zone or location.

Hope this helps.
