Leaf Drop - Judd Viburnum

I have a judd viburnum that is loosing leaves. There doesn't appear to be any noticable insect infestation. It looks like several branches are affected and the leaves appear healthy but dropping off.

Any ideas?

The viburnums are a generally trouble-free plants.

Here is a good page on them.

How old are they? How long have they been where they are? Are they shaded? Is the ground persistently wet? Have you fed them lately? Are the leaves still green when they drop?

I have two on either side of a front step. It's shaded by a large crabapple, western side of the house. Third year in the ground, replaced burning bushes.

The leaves are still green when they drop, but there are some leaves that are brown and curling up.

Past few 4-6 weeks have been wetter than normal, but not excessive.

They werre fertilized this spring, Miraclegro.
