Japanese beetles

2 nights ago we had a great evening out on the deck, ate out etc. Then suddenly, the next day - swarms of japanese beetles for the last 2 days! ugh, they are everywhere! Any ideas, please? It is ruining our use of the new pool and I personally am creeped out!

Hope this helps.

Interesting things about this beetle

The Japanese Beetle was brought into NJ in 1916. Yes by accident I hope.

It has spread to 1/3 of the USAs lower 48.

The reason & get this our well cared for lawns, make perfect breeding grounds for this Beetle. In Japan most yards are gardens, & the beetle needs, an undisturbed field to breed in large numbers..

There are no real preadators for this Beetle here in the US.

In Japan there is a new unwanted imported Beetle tick, that causes the Japanese Beetles, legs to fall off. It attacks other Beetles also.

Some type Beetles will bring $3,330 on the Beetle colectors market. They Collect Beetles in Japan & it's big $$

Every bug has a story, only not all are as destructive, as the Japenese Beetle.
