Question Starting Weeping Willows

Just yesterday, I cut off a few branches from a nice big tree. I want to start these. What's the best way? I trimmed off the ends at an angle, split the bottom and now have them in water. I'd always heard that you could just stick these in the ground and they would grow. Any help will be appreciated. THANX

The cuttings of twigs and branches are supposed to root easily in moist soil.

Wink

Thanks for the advice Chris. I went right out after I read your reply. I fixed up some buckets with potting mix and peat moss. Now I just have to remember to keep them watered well. Welcome to Gardening !!
