How to dispose of mulch

I just bought a house, and along the side of the house there is an empty bed that is covered in wood chip mulch. I'd like to convert this into a vegetable garden, but I don't know what to do with the wood chips after I dig it up.

Any suggestions?

Keep the mulch and use it to mulch the vegetables once they are planted.

Hope this helps.

Not sure if you figured out what to do yet since this post is two months old, but....

you could inquire with the county in which you live and ask them where their 'dump' is located. Where I live if we have yard waste such as tree branches and such, we can take them to a place where they dispose of it and turn it into mulch. I suppose you could take mulch you don't want any longer to a place like that.

Just a thought.
