stargazzer lilly
I purchased a stargazzer lilly in a 6 inch pot. I have had it indoors and now it has died. Can I cut it down and plant it outdoors in the spring. I live in Alberta Canada so it will be a while before the ground thaw's. If I can plant it outdoors what should I do from now until spring. Thanks alot

Stargazer Lilly
Best thing would be to put it in a cool dark location for now. Do not add water. As soon as the soil is workable outside plant the bulb, 6 to 8 inches deep.
A handful of wood ashes & bone meal will get the bulb of to a good start. Leave the dead top in until you plant then cut it off to 1 inch & plant it in the well mixed soil.
I hope that gives you some ideas & the Lilly does well.
