Climbing roses

We planted a dozen climbing roses in zone 7 over the weekend and now we're hoping we didn't plant them too close to the latticework they'll be attached to. Any experiences, opinions, etc on the best distance?

Here is some excelant reading about Roseculture, & remember a plant can be moved a few inches, if it's been planted within the last 30 days .
