Smile Air layering vrs cuttings

Hi jim Welcome to DIYs Garden Forum

When you said take snips, I thought of taking cuttings & rooting them. Air Layering is getting a rooted plant, while the tip is still connected to the Mother plant.

Both work best when the Mother plant is in a growing state.

Any other questions? Just ask, I can steer you to more info on either.
