Question ZONES!! Can someone please explain?!?

I am having a brutal time finding reliable zone information for my area. It seems every gardening book, magazine or website I read is geared towards American zones and I live in Southern Ontario Canada! Then, when I do find a zone map it's nearly impossible to tell what exact zone my province is in, nevermind my city! And to top it all off, global warming has changed the zones but I don't know how to find the right zone map!'d think this was rocket science or something huh?

I'd sure appreciate it if someone could forward me a link that would give good information for my area! I understand that every yard can have microclimates and I "think" I'm a zone 4 to 6 but I'm really not sure!

Here is a link to the USDA Hardiness Zones, including Canada:

Depending upon exactly where you are in Ontario, the zone could be 3a, 3b, or 4b. Take a look at the map and see if it helps.

Smile I found this link in our useful Garden links :)

This may be a little more suited for our northern Friends.
