Cannis Lily?

I was wondering if anyone ever heard of a lily called a "cannis lily" and where I could buy it. They are grown in town around city hall and they told me what they were, but didn't know where I could get them. They did say it was a bulb and in our northern zone, they should be pulled every year.
Any help would be appreciated.

sherry, it is called a Canna Lily. They grow from a bulb and are very easy in full sun. You didn't say where about that you lived so if there is a Wal-Mart close by go pick up some bulbs from the garden center. they probably won't bloom this year unless you force them but they will come up beautiful and bloomin next year. Puddn
