I have ceder hedges around my property and I would like to control them using a non-toxic chemical. I know citronella works, but does it come in a liquid (other than for oil lamps).

I eat a lot of garlic, lost mosquitoes and friends...Seriously, in the South we put moth balls in old socks or nylons and place them around plants, doors, etc. It really works. Also there is a commercial, granular substance you can spread on the ground. I forgot its name, but we use them it during the summer to control mosquitoes for outdoor concerts..

Hi!
A truly organic method is to build a bat house! It is made from cedar wood, and need to be in a warm spot in your yard(but not in a tree; preferably attached to the southside of the house, about 18" up from the ground. Also, there needs to be a water source w/i 1/4 of a mile...)
Rebecca's Garden website has all the info you need to build one...(rebecca'sgarden.com)
