Question lefty_1

Can anyone tell me, does it matter which direction you plant your garden rows? I am putting out a big garden this year in an open field I have. The wind is always north and south on this field. Can someone help? Thanks

Generally, the concern is to plant so that the taller plants don't shade the shorter plants. So, the corn goes on the north side and the bush beans on the south. I am not aware that rows should be oriented in a particular way due to prevailing winds.
