Unhappy Poison Ivy

Hi all! I have a back property line that has a number of very large trees, a long with smaller trees/bushes. The back property line is apprx 200 feet. It seems in the last year or two I have managed to grow a beautiful garden of the dreaded poison ivy. Anyone has any recommendations on how to get rid of this stuff? I have used the little spray bottle of ?, to do the samll patches that were near my house, and it worked nicely. But with the back property line, that is a sizable amount to get rid of. Any cheap home remedies??
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

RoundUp or Ortho Weed and Brush Killer will take care of it.

Roundup works well, but it is rather expensive. If you have a regular residential sized lot (less than one acre) this is probably the best way to go.

If you have large lot, locate a agricultural supply store (Southern States, Camp Chemical...). Basically a co-op or seed store that supplies farmers. Glyfoss is a generic herbicide similar to Roundup. It does not kill as fast as Roundup, but it is very effective and is considerably less expensive. It is sold in 2 1/2 gallon jugs of concentrate that you dilute with water and spray on the plants. The just should cost about $40 and will last you for many years.
