Tulips

Folks;
I live in zone 7. My question is when and how do I remove
my tulips plants after they are done blooming?The tips of the leaves are brown.Do I cut the leaves off even with the ground?
I want to plant annuals were the tulips are but I don't want to
hurt the tulips. Thank you in advance
Ron

I'll probably get beat for this but I whack mine down with the Toro. They come back every year and look great.

Whatever works right Mattison?

I personally would just let it all go and wither by itself. I guess you could try what Mattison does but I wouldn't prefer it. I've read that you are to just let it die off naturally and plant around it...in front, back, on the side of it so then the other plants cover up the uglyness of the dying off tulips. This is my 1st year w/ tulips and them dying out so we'll see how that goes.
