bee balm not blooming

This year I've planted three Bee Balm plants purchased from a local nursery. One is doing great, and two aren't blooming at all. The one that's blooming is partially shaded by a sign in our garden, and the two that aren't blooming are in full sun. Both have similar soil types, and have been watered and fertilized equally. Anyone have any ideas?

Bee balm does well in sun and light shade. It prefers evenly and constantly moist soil.

"Similar soil" does not mean soil that is exactly the same. Unless soil was properly dug to distribute organic material and amendments, it is possible that plants growing side by side may not thrive equally. The pH level may also be different. Bee balm blooms mid summer and/or late summer/early fall.

If your plants are not all of the same cultivar, then bloom time may be different. Also, some cultivars are more mildew resistant than other.
