Manure Application When ???

I have several perennial beds that are in various states of bloom. Can I apply well rotten manure around the plants at this time of year for fertilization?

You could apply well composted manure now to your flower beds - not to your veggie garden if harvest is within 60 days, though it's best to apply in early spring. Generally the nutrients are taken up quickly by the plants, especially after rain. Consider doing this just before rain or watering after. It should be mixed into the soil. Here's an interesting site from Univ of Minn.

This Cornell U. site has some good info on manure in the garden too.
