Question?
Is it ok to have a rose garden next to a septic tank?

Welcome to the DoItYourself.com forums TTEMP25

Not the pro here, but it would be best not to plant any deep root plants (such as a rose garden), trees, etc. near a septic system. Deep roots can clog and damage the drain lines.

Check back as other may chime in.

Do not plant anything with an invasive root system near the septic tank. Most roses typically do not have invasive root systems, thus they make for great container plants. Of course, the larger the rose variety, the larger the root system.
