Trees under power lines

There is a line of trees underneath some power lines that run right on the edge of my property. They are right on the property line maybe not on my property..... I dont know.... just moved in a few months ago.

Anyways, the trees are growing right into the lines. Could it possibly be my responsibility to keep these things trimmed away? Im sure its probably the city's responsibility, but they havent done anything about it.

The transformer on that pole finally blew out today while I was gone so we came home to a dark house. Im sure it was those trees that blew it.

My problem or City lights problem?? The trees are directly under the lines.

Call the power company. Ask whose responsibility it is. If it is yours, do not attempt this yourself. Hire a professional who is well insured. This is dangerous work.
