relocating raspberry

Hello,
I have a couple of raspberry plants that I planted (two years ago) in the wrong spot in my garden (somewhere in the middle). I have not noticed that they better be on the side of the garden close to fence. So my question is what time is the best time from now until they start growing in spring to move them? BTW, this garden is in Long Island.

Thanks.

Spring is the best time to transplant raspberries. Do so just before they come out of dormancy. Select only the healthiest crowns and reset them at the proper depth. Fertilize with 5-10-5, as the leaves open, and again right after harvest.
