poison ivy growing in cement cracks!
Last year I moved into a new home and found poison ivy growing up the side of the garage! I used weed killer and tore it out, but it has come back again this year. I can't seem to get the roots out - the poison ivy is growing through a pretty small crack in the cement. Should I remove as much as i can and cement over it? Any ideas on how to protect myself in going about this? Thanks!

And just another note. Make sure you are using the correct type of herbicide, one that specifically says for poison ivy or woody vines. Maybe "brush and vine"? Regular broadleaf killer won't be very effective. Follow the directions on the container.
