Do I really have to prune back my roses
they are still blooming. I have also still have tomatoes too. Is it ok to plant any
vegetables now, cucumbers, melons?

No, it is not necessary to prune roses. In fact, if they are still blooming that's great. In the spring, you may want to prune them back a little in order to generate new growth or to weed out weak canes. As for vegetables, there are a variety of winter vegetables you can plant depending on where you are. You might want to contact your local county extension office. They will be able to give you an idea of varieties, planting times, etc. for the zone you are in.
