If the fruit is close enough to ripe when it fell from the tree you might try just letting it sit in a container lined with newspaper. Put a couple of sheets of newspaper over the top of the container (no tight lid). Keep in a dark, cool place. Check fruit twice a day. This may or may not work depending on maturity of fruit when it fell, if it was damaged in fall, etc. If you still have plenty of fruit on the tree I wouldn't bother.

If you have a large fruit drop you will need to determine why - cultural, disease, or? Call your local county extension agent for assistance. You will find them in the government section of your phone book under county.
