I am looking for a way to clean my painted aluminum gutters. They have been stained from the roof shingles. I have tried bleach(sodium hypochlorate) and white wall tire cleaner. The bleach didn't do the job and the white wall tire cleaner takes the paint off. Will appreciate any suggestions.

Have you tried pressure washing? That's the only thing I can think of. You've probably picked up a "tannin" stain from the roofing and it is very hard to remove if not impossible. You might check on the feasibility of repainting. Other than the above does anyone else have any ideas?

I don't think pressure washing will do it . Run into same situation approx 2 months ago. Pressure washing did almost nothing on this house. I cleaned the gutters, sealed them with an exterior stain sealing primer and then applied two finish caots of paint.
