pruning a Rhodedenderum plant
I have a very large plant that is about 12 feet in height and i was wondering if it can be pruned by or not, when it is in bloom it is a beautiful site to see, i don't want to harm the plant so this is why i am asking for some advice here. Thank you Jim

Here's some good advice regarding pruning rhododendrons. Link
I have two PJM rhodos that I let grow until they get too big for their space in the garden and then I cut them back to the ground. It takes then a couple of years to recover but they always (20+ years) come back stronger than ever. The other larger ones I prune lightly leaving enough old growth to make sure they flower each spring.
