How to kill daylilies

We planted 14 yrs ago; they reverted to the native orange.

We dug them out 2 weeks ago, now they are sprouting new plants.

Will Roundup or (?) solve the problem?

I would think that Roundup or Spectricide or any non selective herbicide would do the job.

Around here all you have to do is water them and hope they grow and the deer will come and eat them until they are dead.

Whenever trying to get rid of a plant I like to kill it before digging it up. I'd spray the new volunteers with your favorite herbicide and do it again a week later if needed. Some plants are resistant to some herbicides but repeated applications can wear them down and get the job done.
