Any ideas as to what kind of apple(?) tree this is?
We have only one apple tree in our yard, but it doesn't look like any I've seen before (not a lot of experience with apple trees).
The apples are in clusters and are no bigger then a midium size grape.
They are hard and the one the wife tried eating (didn't know she tried) said it was very sour.
They really look like cherries bit the wife claims it was an apple.

Yeah, I believe they are crab apple. Wifey uses them for polinators for our other trees. IMO the only apple worth it's salt is an Arkansas Black. Late ripening, but worth it.
Oh, don't have to worry about eating the crab apples......bear takes care of them.

You can also call them crab apple (spelled with a p instead of a b) if you eat too many of em. LOL
