Atrium Drain question

Hi everyone, I've been having a problem with rain running down my walk way to the front door and it's been pooling there I plan on installing two Atrium drains on either side of the walk way in the flower beds, Here's my question should I pour a slab around them or just leave it without a pad. Thank you.

I think it much depends on the look you want and what material you have edging your walkway. The big purpose of pouring a skirt around the drain would be to help prevent it from clogging with mulch or gravel, whatever you have edging your walk. I have a similar drain in a pea gravel walkway of my raised bed garden with no skirting. The stone is coarse enough that it has never caused a problem for the drain.

Thank you for your reply,Pilot. I think I'll pour a pad around the drains only because I believe when the rain gets into the flower beds it works it's way under my house into the crawl space. Thanks again.
