Trimming Honeysuckle

I just moved to the Albuquerque area 6 months ago.
The honeysuckle is beyond wild and I didn't know to trim it late spring until now.
All of the videos that I have seen, they are using pruners. This 'hedge' is literally about 6 x 15 and hasn't been cared for in a long while.
I was thinking about using hedgers. Does anyone know how I should tackle this and if trimming now will cause it not to flower or other harm????
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums! I surely hope your honeysuckle is different than what we have in the South. We trim ours with either a backhoe or Roundup in early spring. It is totally invasive, here. I don't think you will have a problem with it not flowering.

Thanks Chandler....okay, guess I'll rent a backhoe!
I think it will get all caught up in a hedger but I'll just wing it
as long as I don't kill it; things should be fine.
