Pink Dogwood leave turning yellow

Hi everyone,

I planted a pink dogwood about 2 months ago. There are a log of leaves turning yellow and Im afriad something is wrong with it. Can somene please tell me if this is normal? Its a typical August in NJ, where the temps fluctuate in the 80's and 90's, Im hoping this is just Summer stress.Name: photo (2).jpg

I dug a large hole and planted it so the top of the burlap ball was just at the surface. I created a mulch "dam" and was careful not to let it touch the trunk of the tree. I water it sufficiently about 2x a week. When it was planted, it was backfilled with a dirt\peat moss mixture. There was no fertilizer added. Ive included a few pics to show. Your help is appreciated

I think you will be alright. You could always put down a fertilizer spike in with some extra water. Did you by chance cut up the bottom of the burlap bag? I would myself. Got a whole bunch of dogwoods here and the only time I don't like them is when it's time to rake.
