Is my Palm Tree healthy?

I have a large palm tree in my yard (Florida). The 2 bottom frons need to be removed. I had a tree guy here and he said the tree was dying & should be removed. 2 other people (NOT tree people, but landscapers) have said the tree is fine. We know the landscapers well, but not the tree guy. Suggestions? Thanks

A pic or two of the tree in question would give us a better idea. You might want to contact another tree guy for a 2nd opinion.

Since none of us here can see your tree I'd say listen to those who have. Two fronds needing removal is generally not a sign of a tree dying unless there was something else they saw when up there removing the fronds.

Is my Palm Tree Healthy?

The tree guy was able to pick the bark off the trunk fairly easily-there was space between the bark & the trunk. Not sure if that is a huge problem or not.

What variety the palm is might also be helpful.

Call more certified arborists and ask they come out and look at your palm. Lots of free advice will be forthcoming.
