We live on the edge of a ravine and get lots of deer in the back yard. They're eating all the food out of my birdfeeder (quite fun to watch). There's a deer feeder (?) at the back of our property and I'm wondering what type of food to put out there. What about salt blocks? Thanks

Try salt blocks, mineral blocks or molasses blocks. They can be found at a feed and seed store normally. Whole kernal corn is a favorite deer food. Deer will eat just about anything that can be grown in a garden including okra.

Years ago some company sold a mix called "Quack and Snack", a wild animal food that was a mix of all kinds of good looking yummies. I suspect a feed store or good old fashioned hardware store will have something similar.
