holistic stump removal

friend asked me to post this:

Looking for recommendations for a holistic stump removal. I read about Epson Salt but I thought salt killed all in the ground and nothing could be planted there for years after. It is not a large stump but above ground about a foot.
Thank you for any suggestions.

"holistic" I'm not sure how that word applies to stump removal.

Have the stump ground out. Or get a shovel and axe and get your exercise. Or, if you are having excavating or other work done that requires machinery a excavator or loader can rip it out of the ground.

Me too. I don't know how the term holistic refers to tree stumps. Drill holes in it and pour in saltpeter. 1/8 stick of TNT, buried under it.

IMO having the stump ground is the best way to go. While you can rent a stump grinder, it might not really save you enough money to justify diy - check the cost of having someone come out and do it for you.

If you are broke, an ax will work ..... along with a LOT of elbow grease
