How to destroy this tree from my side? (with pictures)

It's pushing the fence so it has to go. But half of it sits on neighbour's side, and I feel they probably want to keep it. What can I do from my side to kill it, I want to make sure it's dead next spring.

You won't get an answer to that question here since that is illegal. If you own the property and the fence and his tree is damaging it by growth, you have the right to prune whatever protrudes in to your side, but you can't go on his property to do it. If it's impossible to prevent damage by pruning, then you have a recourse in small claims to recover damages and he may then be required to remove it.

Big question...have you even approached him about it? Or are you just assuming? Have you talked to whatever authority would handle such a complaint? I really dunno who that would be to tell you the truth. I'd probably start with the Zoning office or similar.

Thread closed...only possible answer. (Unless someone PMs me and says I'm full of it and has a better answer.)

Well, I guess I can't close threads yet.
