Can anyone tell me why the leaves on my Periwinkle plants turn yellow, dry out, wither and die? I can't seem to get it to spread the way all the books say it should.

Yellowing of periwinkle leaves

Periwinkle, or creeping myrtle, prefers partial shade and evenly moist, well drained soil conditions. It does not like the full sun where it becomes chlorotic (yellows).
