Sedum plant is not happy.

See pics. Sedum were planted about two seasons ago in Southeast WI. Pics are from today - Sept. 10.

Species is "Mr. Goodbud" - Stonecrop.

I don't know why they're so unhappy. They are maybe 8-10" from the ground. Any suggestions for soil amendments, or what to consider to add some joy to these Sedum's existence?

I'd like to "Sedum" bloom, if you you get the gist...

Thanks for any tips from the pros!

Generally speaking, those are based on the results of a soil test.

Mulch may be the problem. Remove mulch in the near vicinity and see if that helps. Ours are not mulched and are doing very well.
