Halloween pumpkins just for fun

This is just a maybe it kind of works, hopefully kind of fun, idea for me and the kids, Halloween pumpkins, (or just grow some pumpkins), I know we will buy our Halloween pumpkins at the store.

I researched and Googled, and have a decent handle on the how to's.
I'm not trying for "big", if they are of moderate size I will feel we were successful.

I know they need a lot of room "5-6 feet apart in rows...each row 12 feet apart"....How many "mounds" can I make, (squeeze in)? I only have a roughly 10 by 15 foot area.

No trying to grow them vertically. KISS.

You can plant them however it fits your growing area. They are easy to move and train to grow where you want.

I don't know where you are located but keep an eye on your plants for pests. I have a terrible time with squash vine borers with pumpkins. You have to be vigilant from the beginning otherwise it's too late by the time you see the plants suffering.

Thanks, I was wondering about the ability to "move and train them". I'm in the San Francisco Bay area. No idea if squash vine borers are in my area. My "how to" research did mention to watch for pests, your comment will ensure that I'm vigilant about frequently and closely checking the pumpkins.
