Palm tree

Hello,
I have a Windmill Palm tree for 15 years and it's s doing nicely. Last year it was blown over by strong wind, the trunk didn't t break but bent over at the base. I straighten it up and anchor it by ropes. I removed the fibres from the base and it is very narrow and it will bend without the support again. Any idea how to strengthen or repair the trunk. Should I make a box around the base and fill it with soil?
thanks, Danigo

It will take time for the roots to garb hold again of the soil. I like your idea of a box. Maybe you can fill it with stone for more decorative look.

Thanks for the answer. The roots are firmly established. The weak point is just above the ground. See the picture. I thought if I put the soil in a box higher up it may start new roots from the trunk above the weak/narrow point. Stones may support the trunk without being too moist.

About 7ft. The soil is normal garden soil.
