We have removed our outdoor bamboo plants, but their ability to spread is legendary. Now we see there are some shoots growing inside the house, in the vents.
Looking for the best way to kill or remove these shoots before they grow any more. We plan to repaint the house soon, if that makes any difference.
Mix a glyphosate (RoundUp) herbicide at the maximum rate and spray the leaves and green stems of the plant. Keep repeating until no more appear. How long this will take depends on the root mass underground. Do NOT let the plant recover between treatments. Check every week or two at most and hit it again and again.
There is a crawl space, but I've never been down there. So I don't know whether the plant invaders are accessible from there. It's possible I'll have some workers down there in coming weeks or months and I'll have them take a look.
I was standing in line at the local nursery store and I noticed a display for a product called "Holy Sh*t" Apparently it is an organic soil conditioner. What caught my eye was that the price for a 120 ml container (that's 4 oz) was $22.95. A 5L container sells for $300 on Amazon. It's marketed by Fish Head Farms and apparently derived from fish manure harvested from farmed Tilapia.
Has anyone here used this product.
