I have a four year old wisteria that refuses to flower. It grows like a weed and is healthy and green but no flowers. I even tried to shock it by cutting into the roots last winter...nothing! Is there a reason for this and what can I do.

Thanks

Hi Highkamp,

Check this site out for some ideas on how to get your wisteria to bloom -

That seems to be a common complaint. It can sometimes take many years.

Growing wisteria

Very informative article, Gami. I guess I need to do some pruning on my wisteria which grows along top the fence in the backyard. It was laden with purple blossoms this season.

You're welcome, Twelvepole! We're in Dallas right now, and I'm seeing lots of wisteria in bloom. I'm afraid I wouldn't have the patience for it. Maybe some day! It is beautiful.
