transplanting blueberry bushes

Hi,
I would like to transplant some 5 year old
blueberry bushes. When should this be done and what ground prep is necessary. Thanks, Anita

Hi Anita,

I can't speak first-hand, but here's a website on growing blueberries -

Thumbs up

Thanks Gami,
The web site was great for soil prep but didn't tell me anything about when to transplant.
I'll keep searching.

Hi Anita,

Sorry about that. Here's another site that says you should transplant in the winter. In other words, while the bushes are dormant. That's a general rule for most shrubs. There's no specific time, but before you see them come to life, such as buds where the leaves will be, etc.
