hybrid teas

hello, i was looking at a site that said to prune my hybrid teas in late winter , and to prune them hard. i thought (in my zone) i was supposed to prune them in the spring before new growth and to only prune out what was nessesary. i was going to wait untill about, april. i have : sunset celebrationHT, helen hayesHT, madame ernest calvat(bourbon), 2 donjuan(largeflowered climber), evelyn(d.austin), sexy rexy(floribunda). thank you for your help.

Hi Zone 7,

I personally don't like to prune roses in the winter and prefer to wait until early spring before new growth starts. I don't have firsthand experience with hybrid teas tho.
