Hello Gary. Welcome to my Gas Appliances forum.

Dryers with the problem you are describing often have defective or broken door safty switches. Read the dryer problem question by annmarie1099 recently posted. In it you will most likely find the problem solution.

Dryers that do not run do not heat. Dryers that run but do not heat often have weak or burned out glow coils. Reading the questions pertaining to dryers that do not heat will provide you with every possible problem and all the solutions to correct it.

Additional Suggestions:
Read the manufacturers online web site for product information, problem possibilities, causes and solving methods, part locations, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures, instructions, pictorials, schematics, which may be available online.

Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be also. They will need the make, model and serial numbers.

Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

Read the existing questions on the subject of dryers which do not heat or those that do not provide much heat will quickly provide you with a wealth of information on how to resolve the problem.

Be sure the electrical power to the appliance is turned off, before attempting any repairs. Always check for gas leaks when ever a repair includes any connection of a gas part.
