Maytag Gas Oven Sensor Problem

I have a Maytag Gas Oven Model #CWG3100AAE.

If we set the temperature to say 300 degrees, it will heat up to that temperature, stay there for 15 minutes or so, and then cool down with a F3 error message. I looked up this error message, which indicated that the temperature sensor should be replaced. I replaced the temperature sensor but the problem still exists.

Regards,
Wayne C.

Dear Wayne C.,

2 things that may be happening... First thing to make sure of is that when the oven shuts down, (or you notice the temperature drop), is weather or not the Hot Surface Ignitor is glowing.(usually orange color). If not, than you may have a cracked ignitor, or a bad control board. If the HSI is glowing while calling for heat, and burner doesn't light, than you may have a gas valve that is sticking closed. Hope that helps...

Sincerely,
Aaron B.
