Question water heater location

Due to venting constraints, an on-demand gas water heater will need to be placed around 12 inches from the 200 amp breaker panel. Are there code restrictions governing the minimum distance?

Hello M.Barton. Welcome to my Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

Not exactly in my field of expertise. However, you will need to check local codes in your area. Codes vary widely, so it is not exactly known what those codes are in your area. You'll need to call to findout.

Plumbers in your area and or electricians would know what those codes are. A phone to the city or an expert, licensed plumber or electrician may provide the answer(s).

I will copy this question into the electrical forum topic for you. Check that topic also. Codes still not can be posted. But some additional help, ideas and or suggestions may be provided.
