Caloric gas range broiler ignitor

I have a Caloric RHP654UI gas range. The oven lights and heats up, but the broiler does not light or heat up. Is there a separate ignitor for the broiler, or, if there is only one ignitor, can the broiler part be broken?

Hello lenw and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances topic.

If there is a seperate compartment for broiling and one compartment for baking or two seperate burners, there will be two hot surface glow ignitors.

If one ignitor does not glow, in this case the broiler burner, and all the controls are selected correctly, the ignitor is likely burned out. Replacing it will solve the problem.
